Former Airline Pilot Wants to Go Back - Need

Straight Talk
To answer your question as directly as possible, Yes, you have the qualifications to be hired at a regional, major or corporate flight department. End of discussion.
Next paragraph. Several responders have brought up good, valid points. I retired from the cockpit a few years ago and do consulting work for several airlines now. The industry is in a rather fluid state right now and has been for several years. Those once sought after seats in the cockpit have become simply "jobs". It's unfortunate but even at the majors, it's a fact of life.
Do an honest assessment of what you really want as this industry isn't what it was 16 years ago...not even close. If you really want to jump back in the fire, go for it ! A corporate position might really be worth pursuing as the pay and benefits are good to excellent and the equipment usually well above average.
Just my .0187653 cents based on today's market close. As for me, if I was offered to get back into the left seat of a 767-300 and fly internationally, I'd say "thanks, but no thanks".

You may want to leave the door open at the place you are leaving if you can. A fellow I knew did a similar thing. In his 40's and in a secure job with a pension. When in his 20's he flew captain at a commuter in Colorado. Decided he just had to get back into aviation. He was smart enough to take personal leave for a year to test the waters. He's back at his old job as a college professor, where he will retire. I think it was something he needed to do, because he had forgotten what the industry was like and gotten spoiled by a stable, good job. Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.
