Multi ATP
4,000 TT
2,200 Multi
800 Turbine 100 EMB145 700 PC12
600 Turbine PIC all PC12

Goal like most- shortest route to the majors.

Opportunities. Single Pilot BE99 (won't make me go broke) or Regional airline (I've saved a lot of money if I needed to do this). What would you do?

The one major requirement I don't have is 1,000 TPIC. Should I give the 99 a shot an get some multi TPIC? or just suck it up and go to a regional? Just looking for opinions, not arguments.

I'd go regional. Turbine PIC doesn't see as valuable as it use to. US Airways and JetBlue have been hiring regional FOs.

Agreed, Talking to some of the recruiters and interview board captains I know, the 121/Jet time is starting to seem more valuable than PIC Turbine.

Thanks guys. Yeah, IDK what to do. They are going to call me today, if they do not offer enough money I am just going to stay where I am until I interview somewhere else I guess. Either that or I am stuff in a 99 for a year.... which I guess wouldn't be bad, but like most, I don't want to go broke flying and RJ... I don't want to be there more than 2 years... I know asking a lot, but screw that!

It seems like regionals is a good option.

If you want to go to the majors then your probably better off flying at the regionals. Its a route I would hate to advise, there are probably other ways, but I think the 121 guys at the regionals will get the first pickings if/when the "pilot shortage" happens.

Ok, so heres what I got:

ATP - BE1900 type
4800 Total time
3600 Turbine (Turboprop)
2200 PICT /121(Turboprop)
121 Line check airman letter
No glass time
No fms time
No jet time
No autopilot time

My goal, like many, is to work at a legacy carrier. Should I move to another regional and get the glass and jet time, or stick it out where I'm at and continue to build more of the same pic turboprop time until a legacy gets interested in my application?

I suspect you'll get called eventually when (if) things are really going gangbusters. It might very well get you called faster by jumping to an RJ.

As much as you don't want to go to a regional 121 time would be your best option. The money is bad, but probably the fastest way
