Default Asian carrier to US legacies.. any advice?

Hey guys and gals, I am a US citizen and I had most of my basic training in the US including couple years of flight instructing in FL. Zero jet hours then during the economic low of '07-'09, I got picked up by one of asian carriers because of my ethnicity and language skill. My certs have been converted and below are my current quals and hours.

B737NG (800/900): 1700 total (1650 SIC),
A330-200/300: 1050 total (610 SIC)
Total Jet hours roughly over 2700 hours (2200 SIC)

I have my current US ATP/CFI certificate, though my types are not showing on it for a obvious reason, and about 1k dual given hours as well. Exact total hours to this date.. about 4120.

Most of my jet hours are from international/trans-pacific/cross-siberia operations. My current airline flies to over 120+ destinations world-wide. My sectors include from 30-minute hops to 13-hour long haul to European countries.

I am writing here to see if there are any other pilot who are currently working for or applying to the US majors (big 3 legacies) with a similar background as mine. Though I have many friends working for US regionals and already a handful of them are moving up to the majors, it is hard to get practical advice from them as my prior experience is vastly different from theirs. Any advice on how to fill out resumes that are formatted mostly to accommodate pilots flying in the US but not for guys like me flying as an expat?

Any thought about my chance of getting a call from the US majors? I know my hours from my current employer is something unique and somewhat harder to get compared to regional-flying in the US, but I also have some doubt if majors would consider me at all with my resume containing no TPIC and no part-121 experience in the US.

Thanks in advance.

PS - my applications for big 3 legacies are already published thru airlineapps and pilot credential.

Best Regards,

You are competitive for U.S Legacies..The only thing you can do is apply..With 330 experience you may get a call from Hawaiian also..Which Asian Carrier do you fly for?

Thanks A330Pilot. Are you flying 330s for one of the legacies? I work for a big blue one here in East Asia. Hawaiian's not hiring pilots i believe. It's been almost a year since I have published my applications open but for some reason no response at all. Yeah I know lot of you guys probably want to bash me for saying that since most of you have been waiting for long long time. But I'm just afraid if my hours are just not enough quantity-wise to pass the pre-screening criteria the airlines might have. Crossing my fingers.

There are A LOT of qualified applicants. Hawaiian is most definitely hiring.
Are you updating your apps every month?

PotatoChip: I may have missed my monthly update once or twice but applications remained up to date no more than couple months old at the worst.

By the way, thanks for info about Hawaiian hiring. I am very isolated here information wise and last time I heard from US guys they were all saying Hawaiian stopped hiring. I stay corrected this time after checking their website.

If you have access to the internet you are not isolated from information.

Best of luck.

I fly for Qatar..I was invited to interview at the one and only legacy I applied to ( Hawaiian ) but never attended once I found out they don't provide hotel for training nor do they fly you to Hawaii for the interviews..Their first year pay was poor as well..Are you flying the 330 as a Captain? I couldn't figure out who you fly for, who is it? Also, a bunch of guys from Qatar got hired at UAL so I would say your chances are very good at getting on with a legacy..All the guys I know we're FOs with 0 PIC time..

I fly for KE as a FO. How soon did you get a call from Hawaiian after submitting your application? Plus I believe it is a standard assumption that you would be based in HNL while in training; thus reasonable not to expect hotel accommodation from the company. Am I mistaken? I have been dealing with management practices completely different from western counterparts so maybe I'm not thinking straight.

Had you said the big light blue jets I would have gotten it right away..Korean is a good company as far as I hear..I would go there just for the commuting contract on the 330... Whatever Hawaiians reasoning is, they do not pay for anything at all....HNL the only base..If I were you, I would only leave Korean for American, Delta or United..Where in the states are you from?

Also, I had applied for 2 years before I got the call for the interview at Hawaiian...So after 2 applications
