Us old guys remember when screw ups like this would leave you instructing in a 152 and sweeping the hangar floor for a good long while. Before moving up to flying a 1900 if we were lucky.
Kids these days.

Something doesn't seem right here. If you made it through training, except the final ride (LOE?) why would they kick you out? That is a waste of time and money for everyone involved. Every other place I know you get a second try after meeting with the training review board or whatever you call it, try again after remedial training and try again. If that fails then and only then you are shown the door. If after one ride you get shown the door, I have to ask, was there any road bumps along the way? (Progress check? Extra sim time? Failed calssroom tests/events? Anything other than perfect?). Or was this the one and only thing? and I mean the ONLY THING...?

If they have instructed you a dozen times on something, and you get it wrong every time, you will fail.

I think the question is how difficult will it be for the OP and others that struggle with a 121 program, or checkride failures to get hired at a major? And are 61 busts like a CFI weighted less than a flawless 121 record?

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but, while its possible to bounce to any other regional after multiple training failures, that's likely as far as one will ever get in the career. Most majors will not even consider anyone with such a checkered past.

Did you take ownership of the failure? You need to be responsible and admit the challenges you faced, what you learned from this experience and how or what you've changed to prevent this from happening again.

Not true at all. I know multiple people who have overcome training failures (121 and 61), aircraft incidents/accidents, or arrests and made it to majors. It isn't a test of "how much you can f up and make it a major", we all fail at different points in life. It's how we overcome those failures that define us. We as a society are (should be?) progressive and if you can prove that you grew and are a better person or employee from a negative experience then you will certainly get the green light. Undoubtedly, it will be more difficult than the pilot who has a perfect record and good attitude but it is by no means impossible to move on.
