LAS is commuter heavy but has a lot of mainline flights to everywhere.

SLC is commuter heavy, with less mainline and more RJ's. You'll be lower priority on all the DAL RJ's. Personally I'd rather live in SLC than LAS.

I'd prefer SLC to DEN, but I'd do DEN in a heartbeat if it was a domicile. Set yourself to drive to work in the long run.
