Default Amazon Prime Day July 11th frustrations?

Yep, that's a true statement.

It's amazing how much control you can have with ACMI carriers.

ATI as a group has been **** on for decades. It's been sad to watch as people got the hopes up for an Amazon owned mega carrier only to be slapped in the face with Amazon SOP. Aside from the warehouses they thrive on the independent contractor. No reason the airside should be any different.

I can't 100% put this down though as some have been very innovative ideas. My favorite being delivering packages via an UBER type setup. Where I take my own vehicle and go door to door. The owner/driver is making 100-200 day and AMAZON is free and clear of ANY liability. Furthermore is free of any employment taxes or benefits. It's shear genius on their part with the lower middle class in such a struggle they have an unlimited resource.

L8fr82hub is doing a web article as we speak on modified a YUGO for maximum volume/capacity. Last I heard he is working on a system so it will only run on 3 cylinders when under high load like going up a hill or something.

Proves there ARE ways to get around the ATI payscale.

And, it's not trolling.

Amazon has the power to make Atlas/Southern/ABX negotiations happen immediately, so they have an active roll in this situation.

And while there are two unions at work here, the Teamsters represent 1917 pilots and ALPA represents 205 pilots, so there is, in effect, one union that will be setting the standard for Amazon pilots.

Atlas/ABX management groups need to get serious about signing some industry standard contracts or the fourth quarter is going to get very ugly very quickly. IMHO.

Last time this happened our management almost had a cow! Numerous calls to union and Z, Ford&Harrisiin even got involved. Paranoid as hell.....but hey, they did say we would never strike.

I personally think a CHAOS (copyrighted term for AFA-CWA) would be devastating here. It's been ruled legal and once implemented it's hard for airlines or the courts to catch up due to previous rulings of it being an intermittent strike.

Then again, once winter sets in fatigue and sickness are simply natural occurrences.

This should be the norm anyway. There is no upside to flying broken aircraft and if you are not flying the contract why have one ?

VP will be doing damage control tonight in CVG. Drop by and say hello. You might ask him how the financials went today with his lead negotiator. lol

Damage control, that's kind of an understatement. What those people are doing to both airlines is bordering on criminal

Also appears that the outstations are slowing way down in protest of LOW F'ING AMAZON WAGES during the aftermath of Prime up the @$$ day

You mean ground crews are slowing down operations out of their own frustrations?
