One of your impediments is ALPA national. Ask your negotiators if they were told not to be too aggressive by seeking a larger compensation rate. Big fail ..... get rid of them!

There's nothing wrong with having reasonable expectations. I have yet to find anyone at ABX who doesn't understand that. And anyone who deliberately undervalues their own labor thinking that a corporate behemoth like Amazon is going to shower them with cash later is seriously deluded.
But..... Amazon will buy them as long as they keep up the service levels and are "reasonable" in their contract demands.

Its a pipe dream at this point. I have talked to people with logistix and they think Amazon will fully take over the ground game. It naturally ties into their super warehouses. Plus they have their own minions observing all ready. The same people have said they (amazon) openly voiced they do NOT wish to cross the line into airline ownership.

It makes sense, they are known for putting big bucks into their own operation but cut everywhere possible including wages and benefits and using subs. They have to keep price well below brick and mortar stores to survive but also provide speed and convenience.

In defense of my fellow crew though these guys have been #### on pay wise for decades. Some have seen this as their big chance. This round of negotiations was a sobering wake up that the status quo is the future.

Atlas and ATSG management is no different than trying to wean a stubborn calf. They are stuck on the tit we provide through sub industry standard wages. Its going to take persistence. Especially when profits are breaking records.

The thing with ATI is that its not just the pilots. Everyone here is paid less than their direct counterparts at ABX. Literally all of us here are subsidizing ATSG off our backs more than anyone else.

Why didn't they leave for better airlines? If they've stayed there voluntarily and still got **** on, then ZFG.

No degrees, DUI, other issues, plus industry stagnation, maybe didnt fit in at delta etc etc.. then there are some that have all the boxes checked but couldnt get on at the majors

You can/could have an "interesting" ground life but if you could fly and weren't an @ss you had a job.

Regardless, I nor the people I fly with deserve less than fair compensation for the work we do. We don't deserve to be the lowest paid on the ramp. Our performance although maybe misguided sure doesn't deserve the company to walk out on our negotiators.

You "deserve" what you negotiate. Since your pilot group is so weak, they deserve to be the lowest paid.

Management walking out on you despite your performance just shows that performance really isn't that important to them, so why do you continue to go above and beyond? You guys have too many "company men" that are afraid to rock the boat or "upset" Amazon.

Thats a harsh statement to which I cant argue. Contracts are built over time and ATI is on the second one. The first one they undersold themselves the second was negotiated in the worst time in aviation history.

The culture has changed completely and continues to do so. The unions leadership will undergo a complete overhaul. Hopefully to people who are radically aggressive but not vengeful over the past. By that I mean someone that wont let getting even get in the way of proper representation if that makes sense...

What do you mean by "will"? Is the existing MEC resigning? being recalled or not running for re-election?
