UPS poolies
Hey now!
I am officially a UPS poolie. Got the news today. Had to change the ol' moniker because I will be leaving a pretty good job for a great job with UPS.
Any idea how long the poolies are swimming?
My stats:
6,000 TT
Check Airman
3 type ratings
Currently at a major
Also, I am hoping for ANC.
Looking forward to the next step. How do they notify for a class date? Phone call, email?

In my class ANC was awarded to the guys with Int'l, Heavy time. I wasn't able to tell from your quals above if that includes you. Everyone else was awarded 757 SDF/ONT and one 757Z.

Congrats Brown !! I interviewed in mid Jan, got the letter beg of Feb and
have been swimming ever since...feels like an eternity...but I know one guy
personally who has been swimming since Oct 05 so I need to keep perspective. As far as I know they will call, and when they have you take a pee test, your name has been pulled for a class. Good luck to you. Don't think anyone cares but my stats 8000+ hours, furloughed major, don't care what or where I fly from as long as it has a brown tail

Congratulations on getting on with UPS. However, now you'd better change your Avatar to something less provocative, as UPS takes a dim view of employees dissing their equipment. When I was hired at UPS, there was a guy in my class that was offered a management job. He took it immediately and was very happy with his decision, until one day he was overheard calling one of those brown delivery trucks a "brown delivery truck." He was called into his boss' office and told that he would be fired if he ever again referred to a "Package Car" as a "brown delivery truck/" So you be careful out there.

There are one or two people around here that have your pool stay beat by a few years. Hope your suffering isn't too bad.
