They'll give you what you need to know. Primacy. Learn it their way, not how some other company with a study gouge does it.

Again, thank you! Your advice is well received.

Thanks, vnoonan! Any training materials available on the internet that are helpful to new hires?

They'll send you a sheet with memory items and ops limits. If you start in 3 weeks, you should get it shortly. Do your best to learn the memory items verbatim. They're not terrible sticklers for being verbatim, but it's easier to spit it out word for word than trying to muddle through "getting the gist of it." I told you I drove down there... I made audio recordings that I listened to over and over again. When you actually get to class, they'll break it down into 10 sections. You won't have to know the whole thing until day 10.

Next Class

Interviewed in May for the July expected class. I haven’t heard anything back since the interview, no CJO, nor TBNT! Wondering what to (or not to) expect at this time. Can anyone who had gone through recent hiring/interview process please shed some light from your experience? Much thanks.

Anyone here? I have an interview in early August for an FO spot to try some 121 flying. Coming from being a 135 captain. Curious to know how things are going with WGA. Thanks!

Any new info? Interview process? Applied yesterday

As for the training itself, it's the same as any other training course: chairfly, learn your flows and callouts, learn the systems, etc. They do a pretty good job of feeding the information to you a little at a time. Make sure you're being proactive in looking ahead at what's going to be covered in the next sim and being prepared for that.

Is training on 36th St.?

Gotcha. How does WG's QOL stack up to other 36th St. operations? Is one airframe's flying footprint better than the other?
