I had a week long AFW pairing end on Wed with a sweep into the planet two years ago.
The only thing I see changing is the pure mem or ind lines will be rotated to reduce the TAFB signature.
orf-ind-orf-mem-orf-ind-orf-mem-orf.
Less double DH and more single DH lines. Lines will be more balanced as far as pain and pay go. Too bad.

Here's the language:
Should an operational circumstance arise which requires a flight to return to base (or remain there) with no other intermediate destination (e.g., not block out, return to blocks prior to take-off while at base, air turn-back to base), the trip is not terminated, and CRS has the following options:
Seems to me if you touch someplace other then elvis, this para does not apply. An INDY hubturn pairing should be finished if rerouted to the base.

Has anyone had the trip "stop" in MEM in the last 5 years for a windfall of time of money? I know the contract said that was the gig...but at least on the 727 I never had it happen. From my perspective, I might say its a "nice" perk but one you never see... However--on other jets or lines maybe it happens more frequently. Anyone got some examples?
Me too, this year in fact(post new-contract).

Have seen a DFW-EWR MD-10 get diverted to MEM for a mechanical. Trip ended on arrival in KMEM.
