You must be bored at your mainline job, so bored in fact you just can’t let go of little old Happyjet. I mean how dare pilots from a little scumbag 36th street airline not follow your BS blindly since you come down from the mountain bearing the scrolls of knowledge. You know, I spoke to your membership committee(another great ALPA resource) and it seems you didn’t get called back to your airline like you told everybody, and you canceled your honey of a leave to tuck tail and return home. Thankfully you still have the internet to serve as your pulpit, we wouldn’t want you to get bored. I don’t have to change my name on here, everybody knows who I am and I’m not afraid of it, so be a man and do the same.

SEPfield: I hear Avelo is hiring street Captains, maybe you should apply… or how about shoot for the moon and apply for FedEx, I have some great contacts over there that may be able to help. I think you still have my number, give me a call sometime!!

Amerijet ain’t for everybody, and my recommendation for anybody that is unwilling to stick it out and see where it’s going is put your stuff in at somewhere you think best fits your lifestyle. Attrition is a problem for the entire industry, especially in our segment of it, however for the moment it has actually slowed significantly. Now that could change tomorrow but it’s starting to show that people are willing to take a chance with the change here. We are deep in section 6, and the pace of negotiations has picked up a lot of momentum since resuming after peak, but guys the company isn’t just going to give us a raise or significantly change conditions until they are negotiated. There is a process, it’s why we pay our dues, but I can say with all my heart your negotiating committee is working hard to get a contract that meets or exceeds our highest peer. Amerijet has its own system out of Miami, which presents a unique situation, but I believe the new CBA will have provisions that will not only make people that are expecting home basing to be happy but to also the ones that want to fly Miami equally happy.

Is it a madhouse here, of course it is, and it will be for a while. The current leadership team is just now getting started adding the resources to succeed, like hiring a crew scheduling manager, a new director of training, and various support personnel in flight operations. It takes time to build things, Rome wasn’t built in a day, but things are slowly but steadily improving. 757 proving runs will start next week, and table tops and the evac demo went off without a hitch, so they will be making airplane noises soon and allow us bring all of our Miami flying back in-house in the very near future. This is on top of the opportunities presented by the CEO this week during the town hall meeting.

There are people that have gotten held back for OE due to lack of check airman, however that is also improving. We have only lost two check airman, one went to a major airline and another decided this place wasn’t for him. Four of six new check airman have gotten qualified, and another class of six will be selected soon, so that backlog won’t continue. The new director of training built an AQP program at his last airline, and has committed to bringing our training program into the 21st century. Yes one CKA got his letter pulled for a short time, but was brought back with the FAA’s blessing, so maybe just maybe we can allow a person to learn a hard lesson and come back stronger than ever. Another upgrade class was just announced today, and at least one more planned for the very near future.

Aviation is a gamble for anybody, but there are a lot of people doing a lot of hard work to shed the image of a scumbag 36th street airline and make this place a real contender in the industry. My advice for anybody is if you don’t like it here be, almost everybody is hiring so take your pick and head that direction and I wish you the best. However if it’s worth it to you to stick around and see what happens I think anybody that does will not regret their decision.

Is the one CKA that got reinstated a SCAB? If so, that’s a damn shame. You lose credibility when you pander to the dregs of the industry.

Default For shame.

Wow. The fact that you are defending a SCAB is the lowest of the low. You are the MEC chairman of an ALPA section. That SCAB will walk all over you the day you need to strike. He will take the pay of hard working pilots who are unified. How pathetic and sad.
His gross lack of a moral compass and absurd lack of following regulations is exactly what you are defending.
You buried yourself with your posts. Anyone interested in working here will see the reality of who their MEC chair is representing.

Beware fellow aviators *** if you raise any safety issues, regulatory issues or profesional standards, you will be bashed here, in a public forum by none other than the MEC chairman*** forget the company, the union does the dirty work for them.

Oh and the 757? why don’t you share with everyone here how they are corroded to hell and can’t do proving runs. But heck, everyone makes mistakes right? Like storing airplane in the most humid state in the USA, Smart.

Hopefully it’s you flying these airplanes with captain scab.

Oh cazador, running both accounts like you accused me of… what do you get out of this? Do you think your comments are going to shut the airline down? Are they going to scare people off? Are they going to help the pilot group get a better CBA? What’s your endgame ‘scro?? Myself and the rest of the group would love to know what it is… besides just stirring up BS.

Your comments don’t warrant any kind of response besides “if it’s so bad here, turn in your two weeks like a professional and I wish you the best at your next airline”… or at your major airline you tucked tail and ran back to

If anybody, that actually works for Amerijet, doesn’t think myself or any of the rest of the union leadership are leading the group in the right direction then go through the process and recall us. I would love NOTHING more than to go back to the line and not have to respond to idiots on the internet that doesn’t even work here anymore. However, until that time, I’ll be the voice of reason who’s saying things are progressively getting better here and Amerijet and it’s pilots have a bright future ahead.

I’m done engaging you on APC. You’ve got the wrong guy and we’ve seen this behavior from you over and over. I wouldn’t even have any way of knowing what the account you’re accusing me of is talking about. Not a good look for a union rep of one of the newest to the national organization. You can explain to the appropriate parties why you continue to lash out at other airline employees who aren’t even involved with your airline. I tried to discuss it with you, but you’re the only one who “tail tucked” away when confronted directly by me. You keep saying for everyone to be happy and to enjoy their airlines and I am. Stop obsessively dragging us back and let us? Any further comments about me I’ll consider harassment at this point. You’re welcome to discuss with me directly like a professional would but at this point it’s being handled by appropriate parties.

I dont know what’s your problem you are the one who clearly started this BS and as a Capt at AJT Im truly mad about your comments about amerijet’s pilots saying we are bad pilots is just disrespectful and if you are such a “big boy” why dont you come out and say your name so it can be handled like men? No instead you come to a forum and misinform and insult a pilot the pilot group and talk **** about a company that put food in your plate goes to show the kind of “great professional” you claim to be. I wish you the best at your “new airline” with “real world class pilots” and I hope you do well in training with your great piloting skills that Im sure you don’t have. For the rest of the guys AJT is not perfect but if you want to fly a Heavy around the world and gain experience as a stepping stone, while making six figures. It can give you that!

I mean, you have union leadership on here creating drama instead dealing with trying to get somewhat a industry standard contract in place. That says a lot. You might have a better time at Commut Air than this place from the sounds of things….
