The only "negotiating style" I'm aware of is the one where the union makes a proposal backed up by facts and figures that say it's comparable to or less costly than ATI's contract, and the company counters by pointing back to their proposal from three years ago demanding further concessions on work rules and benefits, closing with, "Take it or leave it."

For the past 4 yrs of negotiations...the company has put their numbers on the table. Then the Union destroys all the their facts and figures with the real costs and productivity at ATI (because that's who we really are negotiating against) then the company looks like idiots and leave. What would you do different? Take it up the tailpipe and accept ATI or Kalita pay and drop the rest of the contract? Maybe set the carpet on fire?

I worked for Soaper at one time in my career,,,, I can tell you for a fact that he truly hates pilots and "GETS OFF" and making pilots miserable if he can get away with it. I think he's Psycho. There is only one reason he gets hired by anyone......he has no conscience or morality. He does not have a soul... He is there to WIN for the company to make the Pilots LOSE even the tiniest crumb. If he reads what I just said....it will actually make his day. You guys need to tell him NO...stand your ground no matter what because he is good at lying and BSing you into believing his BS.

I hope the mediator has had enough, and that we go into a 30 day cooling off period at the end of March. Let’s see how DHL and Amazon reacts to the threat of the entire ramp being shut down due to Soapers refusal to negotiate in good faith.

Probably not that big a deal......looks like the ramp will be shut down soon anyway with the Cvirus.
