question 1. Do you support the recall of DW
question 2. If a recall is likely would you change your position in order to have more say in who replaces DW

"The MEC is a group of volunteers that we have elected. "
Not to quibble with semantics but our union volunteers are volunteers and god bless them. Our MEC is made up of elected candidates who ran for office and who were elected. And if you recall, some of those elections (block one and ANC come to mind) were razor close, one being decided by one vote.

AT our last LEC mtg, about 5% of the LEC membership showed up.[/quote]
And they made the 15 minute drive from Collierville. Just a guess but I think 60-70% of every LEC lives far from Memphis and 20-25% are on the road or on vacation. Time to leap into the 21st century and put this thing on interactive webcam so all can participate from home or from their layover hotel wherever that might be. "Next call is from a place called Soho in Almaty, yes, what is your question?". "You want to be able to expense what in the next contract?"

AerisArmis,
Very solid point. I really don't want to make a trip up to MEM on a week off, and dropping a mid-week trip to make a meeting is tough too. Perhaps some of our dues could be spent on creating a better teleconference/webcast type meeting. I'm sure all us internet messageboard geeks could find a way to be online then.
