ABX crews airline everyday on company paid tickets into and out of position just like you would. If the trips starts or ends at other than domicile they have to buy a ticket. I have one this weekend I not going to use because I can ride the system and not have to go near a passenger terminal. Then the money they did not spend on a ticket is put into a bank for my future use. Also on the new contract we airline from/to home instead of from/to domicile. Old contract if it was cheaper to airline to domicile that is where the ticket was issued to...not now.
Great qol and ok qol is all in eyes of the beholder. One ability to commute will have impacts ones qol vs another differently. I am at a different ACMI not ATI. Agree to disagree, I believe homebasing is a solid value to some and shouldn’t be considered “small thinking” like some alluded to. ABX will work for some and it won’t for others.

In full disclosure (which eludes these boards all too often..) the seniority roster doesn't grow much at all. Atlas and others have the same issue, lots of training...little movement.

Again, everything is available for a price. Homebasing does have a cost...how much are you willing to give up/not get to have it.

In this market pilots shouldn’t be giving up anything…. The real question should be why haven’t you all gotten it too yet.

The real answer is....never negotiated for it. Most ABX commuter pilots ride the DHL or Amazon system. Any flights that commercial into or out of position other than domicile....the company buys the ticket. It could have been added on the last contract if we were willing to have an ATI/ K4 benefit style contract. Crews were not interested.

I’m not real familiar with the Amazon or DHL network in the US, where can I go to look up Amazon and DHL flights going to CVG in order to see what the commute would look like for me based on where I currently live?

Default Training Contract

Can anyone discuss if ABX has a training contract? What is the schedule like? Quality of life?
Thank you

There is no real easy way, the best thing to do is just use flightaware and look at the cities you are curious about and see if any of the operators have regular service out. Or just ask here and we can tell you if theres a flight or not.

No training contract can say that.
