The application minimums are what they are because that's what they'll take.

General career advice: Don't get hung up on what anyone thinks is "competitive" for any job anywhere at any time. Just apply if you're interested. I got called for an interview some years back that I had never imagined I would be called for because I didn't check all of the boxes that supposedly were required in order to be "competitive".

Default Another Public Service Announcement

Here are some numbers from the CVG Oct. 2021 Bid Pack : 109 Captains, 108 FO's eligible to bid. 66 Regular Lines. 29 of those lines are ~ 1 to 5 hours over 65 hour base. There were about 5 that pay a fractional amount between 65 and 66 hours.

Most Junior Captain DOH: Aug 2016. Congrats to the 6 151ers who upgraded. 50% Capt. DOH is Nov. 1994, numero uno hired in 1978, and will be retiring this year, I think.

FO Stats: There are still 10 legacy (pre 2016 hires) as FO's. DOH's for 25%, 50%, and 75% FO, resp. Dec. 2016, Aug. 2019, Jan. 2021.

Hth- You're Welcome.

Addendum: The latest "Nifty Fifty" plug DOH is Apr. 1993. I think there are maybe 2 original plank owners of the N50 club still flying for ABX. Moniker originated in the early 90's (or even earlier) by crewmembers who weren't part of the Nifty Fifty. List changed over the years with each T50 retirement.

Another class of 10 just announced today for December. Very unusual for us to ever train in December. Also, more upgrades are coming this year. Number and date TBD.

Default ABX hiring

Hello all,

Does anyone know if ABX is still hiring/ interviewing this year? And if I would even meet their mins, i.e competitively? I am currently at 2700TT, 1500 part 135, 1025 turbine, 925 turbine PIC.

Thanks for any info.

Apply to everyone and everything. Squeaky wheel gets the grease as long as it has good tread.

A bit off topic, but do you get to keep frequent flyer miles from whatever airline they deadhead you on and points from hotels you stay in?
