LEC 99 Update

I would assume the company prefers CAN over HKG. They won't hace to deal with GT and enrty/exit Visa issues every time the Bus leaves HKG for CAN.
I am not sure what you point is since you made it clear you are voting NO. With a NO vote comes NO TAX equalization and a far greater savings to FDX corp.
So your point again is???

The company and the union already admitted that they need the invol to force the initial cadre 757 dudes to CDG. See the first meeting notes. If you the company and the union are so sure invols wont be needed strike the invol language.

I believe what you are really refering to is for the intial Cadre of 757 Instructors/ Standards Check Airman, not the intial Cadre of average Line dawgs like you and me. MGT wants to fill the Instructor/Standards guys it feels are the most qualifed guys.........which would be A300 SIBA flyers, since that is what the 757 CDG will be doing. I suspect even the FAA might be involved in this to some degree. The Problem is these WB Capts don't want to downbid to NB CAPT. payrate.........that is unless they are pay protected. This is what needs to be agreed upon.........not that they don't have guys waiting to do it.

If I remember the numbers correctly ... I think he said 12 757's initially, eventually expanding to 17 757's (to 56 new destinations in Europe).

That is NOT what DW said at the Germantown union meeting last week. He said the 757 FDA would be IN ADDITION to the A300 SIBA flying. He's been at numerous meetings with the company, and since the company hasn't said that to the crew force yet ... it's the best info we have to date.
