UPS hiring snapshot
- 160+ have been hired year to date
- 2007 goal is 232, no numbers for 2008 have been drawn up
- approx. 400 qualified applicants available to draw from currently from last app window
- overwater/heavy requirement possibly to go away in the future
- about 25 currently in the pool and interviewing about 10/week

It's good to hear the pool number has shrunk. Last I heard a few months ago, it was about 60. I've been in the pool for 8 months. Hopefully, the call is coming to me soon and I don't have a year anniversary.

If they have 400 apps and are interviewing 10 a week, they should be good for about ten months. If they hire 70 out of 400, that's about one out of every six interviews getting a class date.

I heard a rumor the 400 apps have a perfect "8 out of 8" score. Any idea what that means? Rumor is things like an online rec counts as a point, a special qualification (i.e. flight examiner) counts and a point and so on. Does anyone know what the 8 points consist of?

I am not sure what counts for the points. I had someone look at my app and he was told I was an 8 out of 8. He was also told once you get your score the computer selects who gets the email for the assesment. As for the recs they do not come into play unil the interview.
My app has been active since the 10th of April, I have not made any updates, but I have gone in and saw that I can make an update. I will probably make an update this next week and see if that helps.
As for my quals I am a military guy (instructor/evaluator) and I fly 121 at a legacy carrier. I have just shy of 6000 hours.
If anyone has any idea how to get the assesment email please let me know.
