I will be joining you CBeer and Buck92 in the July 31st class! Just got the call yesterday from HR completing the 0.1%.
Same info on my end....not to sure what they are hiring into at this point. 17 in the class.
My plan is to drive DTW to SDF on the 30th of July. If anyone knows of another new hire from the DTW area that would like a ride just give a post.

I'd recommend driving...it was nice to have a car the 2+months I was there.

Thanks for the support T-Roy. I would be crushed if they didn't have pizza day. The day I interviewed was pizza day for the new hires. I was so looking forward to being on the other end of the pizza day!!!
By the way, I live here in SDF so if anyone needs a ride, just let me know. If worse comes to worse, I'll steal the wife's minivan and load all 17 of us in there!

Renaissance Hotel.....HR thought rooms were mini efficiences with cookware, anyone know?
Day 1 is interview suit, then it says shirt/tie/sportcoat mon-thurs, casual friday's. Is this truly the norm or just FOM language?
We start on Tues, the 31st. I am assuming that we will be done on Friday for the weekend. True?

I think the Renaissance is the old Clarion. If it is, they have rooms for UPSer's with a mircowave and a small fridge. Grocery store is a ten minute walk. Liquor store a 15 minute walk. And many good places to eat between a 10 and 30 minute walk. Fee broadband via ethernet. Small bar/resturant in the hotel but I'd go elsewhere.
Many guys complained about this hotel but I don't think it's any worse than the Holiday Inn Hurstbourne and is in a better location if you're carless.

The above from the email HR sent me. A guy I know who stayed there for training last month said it was great. They give guest passes to Gold's Gym. Free breakfast...
Also said this time of year, nobody was wearing a jacket after the first day (picture day). Just slacks, shirt, and tie. FWIW.
