Default Recall David Webb

I will say this, first I am not a fdx pilot, but it is with disbelief that I sit here and watch your mec chairman turn on 75% of your group via the age 60 situation and you guys do nothing, when our president tried to screw over the younger demographic we immediately started a recall effort and would have put him out except for the fact that he only had 2 months left on his term. Not only is David Webb purposely screwing 75% of your group and taking 100's of thousands of dollars in compensation and retirement from you, but because of his direct efforts he has put the over 60 engineers very possibly in a spot where they can come back and push you down even further.

Good lord man. wake up, stand up! what will he do next? Clearly he has no interest in representing the group as a whole, only his buddies. I usually don't interfere with other groups but his treacherous actions will drastically effect our group and others in the industry.

Flush the scum.

First,

You are not a FDX pilot, so it is not your call. Also, he did not turn against 75% of our pilot force. Though the majority was not for the change, the majority were in favor of manipulating any change that occured. Check the Wilson Polling and you will find the numbers......while they invoke some results of leading questions do not reflect your statistic.

Even if I don't agree with some of the decisions he has made, It takes more than one or two items to justify a recall. He has a stronger track record of helping the pilots of this group than he does "$crewing" them. I don't believe he has taken any action that he purposely tried to "$crew" anyone. Any action that he took, I believe he did with earnest intent.

That is not to say I agree with it all, but I believe he is working toward the betterment of our group.

And I am not trying to keep you from expressing your opinion, but it really isn't your call, and you are not privy to all the things that go on here.

Regards,

Thanks for the outsider point of view. Sometime we insiders get myopia.

As long as it's a forum open to all, why does he have to go away?

I agree with him too.

Between Age 60/65, Retro Activity!!!, and this Hell-O-A, I say he needs to go back to flying the line. In HKG no less.\\

He should go away and be replaced by someone who actually has the capability of saying "NO" to the company when it presents a hideous offer, like the recent LOA. And not, "Aww, shucks, that sounds Okay."

While I disagree with Dave Webb on all issues you mention, I disagree with calling him scum even more. Your sentiment regarding a recall is shared by many on this board but the process itself is very difficult. If it were as easy as getting the crew force to sign a petition one would likely be under way. Dave Webb is surrounded by an LEC that he dictates to and they protect him for the most part. It is this LEC that would have to vote to remove him under our ALPA bylaws. Unless they find some form of abuses in his leadership, it is unlikely they ever will. The answer then is to replace them with LEC reps that will remove him and that process may be under way. For the record, every other contemporary at every other airline I have talked to about what has gone on here, from making this last contract so heavily favor those senior and those over 53, to Age 60 betrayal and pushing this LOA, have all said he would have been recalled long ago at their airline. Bravado on their part? Maybe but the bigger point is we have real issues here with his leadership lately that need to be addressed and your post is not out of line.

As this is a public forum, and we use it to air our grievances at FDX, your input is more than welcome here IMO. Maybe just not the name calling. Thanks for your post..
