Sounds like a happy ending

Just went to see Mr Raymond last month; 2 pair of pants, custom tailored with silk linings, $154. $4 over the allotment.

I also get his silk uniform shirts. They are great in hot weather. I think they're around $35 each but well worth it IMO.

Thanks folks. Went to Winstons. Purchased 2 pairs of pants for $1280 HKD. Slightly more than most paid. Also got one shirt. Will be picking them up in a few days.... I will let you know what I think of the items.

I appreciate the input

Grabbed a shirt at Winston's last week at $35.93

Tailored and ready in 24 hrs. I certainly do not mind paying a bit more for the higher quality + convenience.

I am Dan Kohn, the new owner of the Landerwood Shirt label. Joe Claar, Landerwood’s former owner, had a serious illness in 2014, and thankfully he recovered, but he retired and asked me to continue the Landerwood business. Joe’s letter of explanation and gratitude to his customers can be found at https://landerwoodshirts.com/letterpage.htm
My company, Aetna Shirt, was founded in Baltimore in 1916, and since then has made better quality domestic shirts, with no offshore production or outsourcing
To address the pilot’s comment about the fabric issue, Aetna has not changed fabric to save money. We use the same fabric and supplier today that Joe used for the past decade. However, in recent years, global cotton shortages forced prices to soar. and Some suppliers had to change sources, so fabric from the same supplier may have varied in quality, and my costs increased rather than decreased.
At times Joe used offshore factories, so it is difficult to know the origin of the shirt with which the pilot had loose thread issues. If we hear of quality or other issues, we do our best to resolve them.
I am a retired physician, and my staff and I are proud to serve the pilot community. We try to accommodate requests for special features, and we stand behind the quality of our shirts. Chris Raivel is responsible for everything Landerwood, and she or I are available to address any concerns that arise. Thank you.
Dan Kohn

If quality is important, try L&K in TST. They're the best I've found.

Used Linda Chow but all of her shirt's buttons failed. Pants came unsewn. Have been using Winston Tailors for many years now and no troubles.

I thought about trying them in the past, what do they charge for pilot shirts and work pants? Shirts I stay away from 100% cotton, especially when it's hot and humid. Do they offer a good wrinkle free fabric? I got my last batch of shirts in Dubai, which fit nicely and the fabric has a nice soft feel, but I noticed that the fabric tends to pill rather quickly.
