Bid X
#11
I am having trouble when I import to I-CAL, everything works great then when I close out of I-Cal and come back into it my data is gone. I tried saving the I-Cal file, and it still erases. It also erases from I-Cal when I go from one month to the other on BidX.
Anyone else having issues, overall I love the program. Hopefully the I-cal stuff continues to grow so all the info imports for the trip data.

On the Mac version (don't know about windoze) once you are awarded a line, select view my line and then select customize. A button will appear below the line view that states "export to iCal". It will then download your schedule to iCal. It creates a new calendar called BidX (go figure).
There is a problem that Paul said he would fix and that is when it loads one month's schedule it kicks out any others ( of BidX).

Not having that same problem on mine. I export to iCal. Quit iCal, restart, and it's still there. Using BixX ver. 1.4.5
To export to iCal...
1. Click the Customize tab.
2. Add carryover blocks, trip trades, add/remove trips, etc. until it's your line.
3. Click the Export to iCal button.
4. Trips appear as pairing numbers as all day events for the duration of your trips under a "BidX" calendar file. (Great format for a month view. It does not list specific flight details.)
(btw, the "Print Custom Line" option Rocks!)

If you manually download the bid pack zip file from vips you can open it in bidx and play around but nothing else will work. Too bad I would have liked to try the open time feature.

Hey, guys, if you're interested in BidX, send an email to [email protected] with your employee # and he'l send you a serial # good for a month free trial.
Like anything else it takes a little bit to figure out how to make it do what you want it to do, but it's very intuitive. And it has lots of little cool things that I would never have thought of, so play around with it (BidX, that is...
) and you'll be impressed.
