Actually its the other way around. Centurion and Cielos have one owner. He is in the process of moving airplanes and staff over to Centurion and this process has already begun. Today Cielos is merely a shell of its former self. They are operating two DC10's and only have four crews left. Centurion operates five DC10's and another (ex Cielos) is in C-check and should be on line soon. Yes, there are guys on furlough but in todays airline economics either your furloughed or might be next.

Centurion denied Mexico route authority:
DOT Denies Route Authority
The U.S. Department of Transportation denied a petition from Centurion Air Cargo to delay once again new service between U.S. and two Mexican markets.
DOT said it denied the delay of Centurion's proposed all-cargo services between Los Angeles and Mexico City, Los Angeles and Guadalajara and Miami and Guadalajara because it had previously granted the carrier four extensions. And the carrier failed to start service more than 18 months after the original two-year grant of authority.
Ezequiel Ferrario, marketing manager for Centurion Air Cargo, refused to comment.
DOT Spokesman Bill Mosley said the ruling is final. Centurion no longer has the authority to fly these routes. Centurion can re-petition for authority with the proper business plan. Other carriers also can petition DOT to fly those markets, he said.
DOT did allow U.S. Airways to delay the start of its new U.S.-China service.
It also allowed Northwest Airlines to suspend some of its U.S.-China all-cargo flights for one year without losing its route authority. Both carriers cited the high fuel costs as reason for their petitions.

Please, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I hope I am but.... A cursory review of this and other forums and internet BS suggest that Centurion is a real Shiite-Hole scumbag freighter organization. AND therefore, A perfect match to pick up what's left of Gemini, which is also rumoured.
