Default "STVers" vs People Based in FDA's

How will the STV folks bid each month? Are they going to use the same bid pack as those based in each FDA (in effect pushing the junior pilots based there lower)? Or will the STV folks bid separate or later?

Will the more senior STV people get “good” lines (I know, I know) ahead of the more junior people who are actually based at each FDA?

Thanks in advance.

No one knows. Or no one that knows is telling. I have asked that question twice on the Fedex website.

All we know is we are in for it...

Ambiguous rules on STV. Company can do lots of things.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Why not wait and see how it all turns out, as we've really no other choice now anyway. One thing I learned flying fighters for 25 years... Never panic early.

But knowingly flying into a SAM MEZ ain't good business either unless you've done a lot of research.

I suspect we'll take some "combat losses" on this one. I don't think anyone has evil intent--its just a darn tough way to try to make this work. Anytime you "force" verses "entice" someone to work you invite some angst...on all sides.

ACPs, union reps, and the line guys are all going to have to wrestle with some of the ambiguity. That is one reason I am leaning towards staying on the whistle pig another bid...

If we leave it to our MEC "leadership", I think I know the answer, and when I get STV'd to Hong Kong after the company opens the MD-11/10 domicile over there, lets just say I'm expecting to get the 2 legs out/2 legs back with 12 hours off in some Asian city...

With all due respect Jetjok, because some of these guys are considering bidding the FDAs.

...or 757 Capt or FO to MEM

...or A300 Capt or FO to MEM

Why is it unreasonable to expect these questions would/should be answered before folks are expected to bid and open themselves to a given set of work rules?

You may be at a particular stage in your life that allows you not to be concerned with such trivia....others may not.
