It would appear the head of MD training didn't know about them either, according to JJ.

Hey, when I was on the Boeing for 5+ years, "I heard about a guy" who used to wait till the lights went out and then just pull the gear warning CB. I "heard" that worked pretty well......

Question

Are the gentlemen, especially the one in ANC, considered "active flight deck crewmembers"...or...really just "sim instructors"?

Just asking....

According to the MD-11 chief pilot, the guy in ANC is an "active flight deck crewmember", as he's current in the back of the DC-10.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very seniority that's provided, then questions the manner in which it is provided. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a flight manual , and transition. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
May I use this? This ought to be a "memory item" for recurrent.

Feel free to use it. It, of course, comes from the movie "A Few Good Men", and is Jack Nicholson's character Colonel Jessup lecturing (and we all know how we hate to be lectured to) Tom Cruise's character Lt. Kaffee, with a few of my thoughts stuck in.
