That was the old bill. This is a new, separate one. This is the "stand-alone" bill that the over 60 guys wanted all along. If you read the original post it states that Congress has introduced a "NEW" bill.

One thing you can probably bet on, Flight Docs won't be giving over 60 guys a quick look on their physical. I wouldn't want to be the Doc who gave an over 60 guy his First Class medical and then he had an incident related to a physical problem not discovered in the exam.

I'd say the one thing you can bet on is that the docs will hand these things out like always. Some give a real medical, and some are supplementing their income at 85-100 a pop for 10 mins of paperwork. Shop for the one who suits your needs!

The well-financed, vocal minority wins again. Politics as usual. Can't wait until my pension multiplier gets hacked and my B fund gets reduced resulting in the privilege of working for five more years. But at least I'll have to have a first class medical to pull gear. 
Nothing good lasts forever I guess. Glad to see some old guys get their way, not much else in their empty lives I suppose.
