Default UPS Nepotism Rules

Does anyone know the current rules concerning nepotism at UPS? Thus far I've gotten conflicting responses from people within the company and need to know if I'm wasting my time applying (because I have an extended family member that is a UPS pilot). This issue is not addressed in the online application.

Does the policy only include immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister) or does it extend to first cousin, second cousin, aunt, uncle, etc?

Also, is this question addressed in the interview?

If anyone knows the answers or knows how I can find out I'd be grateful.

Thx.

Thanks for the info Brownwhalerider. My first cousin is a pilot with you guys. Based on your reply, it sounds like I may still be eligible for the job.

Could someone explain why an airline would frown on two imediate family members being employed at the same time?

Dont know, considering the company started almost 100 years ago with a couple of brothers. But then again I dont work for an airline just the worlds largest logistics company.

Default Not necessarily

If you're a Kentucky native, you could use the 1st cousin rule to get by the nepotism rule... (sorry, but somebody had to say it) <bg>
