WONDER who HIS sponsor was? Got a feeling he was hired for the purposes of 'diversity'. . only . ..with NO background checks. IF they HAD checked, there were plenty of reliable folks with 'the story' out there. . but no one checked. They were putting an 'x' in the box - for 'diversity'.

'Diversity' is killing this country. Ask Gov. Lamm (ex CO)

Need to stick with the tried and true model. It works. (besides . .I prefer to fly with military guys . .I know they are standardized -and tell better stories)
Wow! Nice post.

Obviously, the FDX screening process doesn't always work.

Auburn Calloway was ex-Navy, and I am not referring to his skin color when I say "diversity."

I was refering to WOXOFF getting thorugh the FDX process.

Calloway was fired by Tigers. But, of course, you knew that.

No process works 100% of the time. But it does work the vast majority of the time, and that's money in the bank because the company realizes this. There are always exceptions and some people change over time and go from a valuable asset to a huge liability. Then there are guys who have it so good that they can't even see what they've become, an example of which might be that 727 captain who was very high up in the reserves and totally abused his crewmembers and the FOM, just so that he could get a few more minutes sleep, because he was working his full time FedEx job and his full time reserve job simultaneously. Was he a failure of the "process"? Probably not at first, but he grew into that mode. And military guys do tell better stories.

At three different companies, the 4-5 differenet crew programs that were used, I could always get a printout of flight times. And by some bizarre coincidence, it happnes to match up with my log book. But hey, whatever anybody else wants to "claim" they flew, well, whatever.

Don't know where you worked that shut down, but when my former company ceased operations I was able to get a full copy of ALL my training records. Intial, every PC, every recurrent, upgdade, involuntary downgrade, etc. It was all there along with the dates.

You just write "do not contact" on your application for any employer (probably your current one) that you don't want them to contact. They will then wait to verify that employment data until you have the conditional job offer.
I did it that way and it worked like a champ.
