There will be displacements from 747SDF, 757SDF, 757SDFZ, 757ONT and MD11SDF. There will be vacancies on 747-400ANC. Those engineers that don't realign to ANC will be kept in excess on the 747 classic. This will force the over 60 guys to bid ANC if they want a window seat. Once the realignment portion closes, expect the displacement bid for everything except the 747SDF to be canceled, effectively locking those senior engineers, who bid ANC to get a front seat, up there. The company wants them to retire and not go through any training events. This plan should cause some of them to retire due to the frustration of the wait to get a window seat. The cancellation of the displacement bid will satisfy junior crewmembers who were afraid of losing their seat to an over 60 guy.

great scoop, FlyByCable... thanks for the heads up. It makes sense what the company is about to do, quite frankly.

Realignments/Displacements
14 MD-11 Capt SDF
9 747 Capt SDF
8 757Z Capt
10 757 ONT Capt
4 DC-8 Capt
Vacancies
20 747 ANC Capt
However, the prediction about cancelling the Displacement portion doesn't sound right. There should be very few, if any, under 60 guys with the seniority to outbid the over-60 guys for the ANC captains, at least, who haven't already gone there. Thus, there would be very few, if any, recurring captain vacancies.
Why does it say "Banned" under FlyByCable's name?
