I think we must have flown with the same dude. Actually I had several "more experienced" older fellas try to sell me the same BS. Anyone who tries to sell you the "you'll be captain in just a few years" at any airline, is just trying to get you to lower YOUR pay so THEIR pay can go up.
Just last week while doing paperwork in the ecoli lounge, heard, I'm guessing. a "more experienced" older fella spouting off how great it was that he was going to ANC back to the front seat. And that all the fo's here should quit crying because we all had it coming to us, since we voted for the last contract. This was our payback and he was as happy as could be. You know, we took food off this poor guys table and all. BOO HOO HOO
Sorry, almost started crying there. Oh well, have fun in ANC.

Don't waste any brain cells trying to figure when you'll make Captain...I was one upgrade bid away in spring of 2001, then 9-11 happened and everything came to an abrupt halt...If you want to cheer up a bit, I remember reading that only 10% of the worlds population owns a computer, and only 30% of Americans have bought something on-line...just imagine the growth when the rest of the world gets wired!! Have patience and don't stress over situations you can't control....BTW finally upgraded, first available Jan 05

OMG, so now the FO's were responsible for the age 65 thing since we all voted for the last contract????? Ya! That makes sense.....
