I was wondering how long it takes to reapply? I must have tripped myself up on the first go last year; do they let you give it another go after 6 months? World is at the top of my list for a lot of reasons, and I just hope I can have another bite at the apple. There was a guy in my interview group who was on his second go- but I just wonder if he was a special case.

Thanks!

Short answer is I don't know, but they are giving preferrence to former ATA pilots right now. It may be a while before you get another chance.

Nope! I was in the pool, swam too close to the drain and got stuck on the bottom... guess it's time to reapply then!

Cheers!

Good luck.

You not able to take an offer when they made one?

ERJ Driver,
If you were advised that you would be placed in the pool then that is your current status. This is how the POOL WORKS as explained to me:
1) when you interview you are graded on all the events and assigned a score
2) your score determines the order that jobs are offered, if any
3) if you are offered/not offered but told your in the POOL then your score
will be compared to the NEXT interview groups' score
4) If they all score higher than you; they will get the offer's and you will
stay in the pool until your score is high enough to be offered a job.
World is great place to be. Good luck!

I never got the offer, but I am in the pool the last time I heard... around Dec 07. World is at the top of my choices, so I will keep on keepin' on. Someone suggested I send in a resume every couple of months to keep myself alive.

TXairEMBdrv- thanks for the info! I will have to keep the faith.

World is as good as it gets, especially for a place with 10% of the list furloughed and a contract currently in negotiations.

The pax side is working pretty steady, the freight side is the same as everyone else, slow. I would have thought the seasonal freight rush would have started in November, but looking at our freighter lines for Nov, its gonna be a lean Christmas season The bright side is, we got an MD-11 pax bird from Finnair into service, so far it is a great flying machine, came on line at a good timefor us, hope there are more where that one came from. We need to get all of our folks back to work!
