Default FDX-monthly bid question

While talking to a friend in Ops last night, we realized that he got a line I'd bid for and not gotten even though he is junior to me. I'm not wanting to screw my buddy, but what (if any) action should be taken here? It would seem that seniority-based bidding has been bypassed here.

Start with the Fedex ALPA contract enforcement office.

Was it a green/green situation? I.E...less than 75 hours for each crewmember?

Are you talking about regular published line?

Are you new on the Airplane? One possibility is that if you are new (<100hrs) and the Cap is also new, CRS will not pair you and a new Capt together. So if this is the case your Bud might have more than 100 hrs and they awarded it to him.

If the said line paid more than the one you were awarded, you should be pay protected for the difference (small consolation). Contract enforcement is the first place I would start.

Another scenario comes into play if you are in training and bidding pay only.

Only 1 guy can get a line pay only. keeps all of the pay only guys from getting the highest BLG line and passing it down to the first guy who's actually flying that month.

If his profile is correct, then the pairing limit doesn't apply...

We're talking about the difference between 2 reserve lines, one RB (what I got) and one R24 (what I wanted). No money issues here, no green-green deal, just QOL.

If you didn't make a bidding error it is worth following up to see if there is a software issue. Talk to someone in the union or company.
