FDX: New LOA vote is open.

Hey there yall, new poster here. Also one affected greatly by this mess, I agree with the Pine. Don't give our stellar performing negotiators the ability to not even consult the group, although they already do. That is setting yet another bad precedence.
I think another noteworthy item is adding trains and boats to the transportation is just giving them more choices on how to make the trip to CAN as miserable as possible. There are direct flights from HKG to CAN, why not just add China Airlines or whoever flies there to the list of 'approved' carriers and it would be an easy trip. (Can their safety record be that much worse than ours?)
No is the only sensible conclusion.
For those who have already gotten some of the enhancements, are they going to take them back? ...you now have to send back 500lbs of crap! Right!

China Southern has 4 non-stop flights a day. I rather do that than ride the train.

For those of us not going, a few reasons are listed here for voting no. Anyone (ideally going to the FDA) able to provide reasons for voting yes?
Be nice to hear objectively from both sides of those impacted by the LOA.
I may be 'wasting' my vote in the next Pres. election to make a point, futilely perhaps. I'd hate to start practicing early........

Well, now that I have had a chance to see "just the facts, ma'am", I agree with you totally. The biggie points for me is giving up something substantial, (no public transportation), and getting nothing in return, and the blank check power that the MEC will have. I guess it's another way for them to be "cordial". POS2 gets two thumbs down from me.

Nothing is wrong with me. I'm saying I'd rather get on a A319 and fly to CAN than take the train or be stuck in traffic for 4 hours in some van. But I guess the company doesn't see it that way. I wonder if we'll get miles for the train.

The loss of recurrent training pay protection screwed the Subic Guys in the new contract.
Looks like the LOA "fixes" that issue.
How does the company calc the work hours for you guys, is it a TAFB calculation....or treated as if every day is an R day cheatin you out of 90 minutes a day.
