Why is your union saying that an LOA with big givebacks is "the best we can do" while FDX is profitable (I'm ignoring the Kinko's write off, as should all of you)?
BTW, if they want you to ride a ship or train, fine, with 100% credit time for the DH.

N. Ongoing Implementation Measures
The parties recognize that the details involved in opening and operating foreign pilot bases are varied and fluid. Other measures facilitating the operation of the pilot bases in CDG and HKG and supporting the pilots based there may be implemented if agreed upon in writing by the Vice President, Labor Relations Law and the ALPA FedEx MEC Chairman.

I am in total agreement with you. As a pilot who may eventually be leveraged into bidding an FDA, the MEC Chair will never speak for me in this manner. While I'm sure the MEC is keeping my best interests at heart, I think I'll keep my implementation voting rights. From what I was told about this implementation process is that the MEC wants the leverage to quickly negotiate small things. Personally, I see their point in the speed of the issue but I still cannot authorize someone to have that much power over OUR lives.
I voted: "NO"

In this medium, somtimes it's tough to tell if someone is being scarcastic.
However, as long as you voted No, I appreciate it. As someone who is greatly effected by the outcome, I voted No too.
Are you serious?? If that is correct, the Union needs to be called immediately. Verifty that Paragaph N is "missing" from the company website and call your rep immediately.
