Nope, none. Sorry to give any false hope, but unless they find enough suck..., er, gentlemen or ladies to bid over to HKG, they will need to fill the right seat over there eventually.

1200 hours total time (at least 900 in airplane)
500 hours cross country (airport to airport)
50 hours multiengine airplane, 100+ preferred
100 hours night
75 hours instrument (at least 50 in flight)
U.S. Citizenship or right to work in U.S.
FAA Commercial or ATP Certificate with:
Airplane Single and Multiengine Land
Instrument Airplane rating
Current 2nd class medical
this looks appealing to me after i do the cfi for a while. the 500 x/c and 100 night looks like thats the tricky part to rack up.

NJ,
Remember these are the minimums, not to be confused with the hiring averages. I would bet that most people hired at FedEx well exceed the "minimums".

If you consider that the "average" FedEx new hire is either ex-military or a former RJ bubba, I'd bet the hiring averages well exceed the minimums (maybe by thousands of hours?). But, you can apply with the mins and if you have good recommendations and a good sponsor ... well, maybe. Good luck.

At the risk of raining on your parade, I suggest you consider an ACMI carrier to build time in heavy aircraft. After 20+ plus years at brown, my observation is that seems to be the shortest route to the brass ring. When FedEx does hire again, keep in mind the sheer number of applicants as compared to the actual number of positions. You'll be competing with many pilots that have a significant amount of experience in heavy jets. Good luck, persistence will be crucial to your sucess.

Default I Got It

W0XOFF:

I got your point (Capitalization emphasis), and couldn't agree more!

generation x thinks its kewl to make up clever spellings and they dont use the shift key because there fone dont have 1

Or, written like you and I would write it:

Generation "X" thinks it's cool to make up clever spellings, and they don't use the shift key because their phone doesn't have one.

Keep fighting the good fight.

in other words until i have at least 2 or 3thousand hours better chance of valor its not worth my time? or should i apply like crazy and just by happenstance i might get lucky? i know its few and far between but hauling freight sounds like fun to me. and it doesnt matter if i get paid dick since im fortunate enough formy father to pay for my ratings and my backround is working for a 12thousand a year paycheck from target.
