Ditto. Don't you FedEx guys have some kind of internal forum for threads like "Bids" or whatever? Seriously, don't complain about non-FedEx APC'ers on company threads....especially when it is not always made clear that it is a FedEx thread until some snippet toward the end.
Go ahead, keep posting your FedEx threads, that's fine. Just don't get snotty about it.....ahem, MaydayMark.

BTW; My standing bid; More money!

Don't sweat it Mayday,
apparently the Wold guy is cludo to what company Albie works for. Although Albie did work a few hints into his posting.
Maybe we can get the moderators to change Worldguy's nom de plume to Tumbleweed

If we were a real union, when the company came to the "special pilots" handpicked to be the initial cadre for the 777, they would have said that they were ready to go as soon as the pay was negotiated.
Anyone, ( including the instructors who have gone to train on the 777) who bids the 777 while the union is in negotiations with the company over the pay scale, are stabbing the rest of the pilot force in the back.

The union stating, in no uncertain terms that "Bidding the 777 without a negotiated payrate is stabbing the pilot group in the back." does not institute an illegal job action. It is only a fact. It would be like stating "You should not fly while sick." This statement is not asking for pilots to call in sick, only to not fly while sick. The other statement is not asking pilots to not bid the 777, just categorizing this action.

What exactly are we going to do if the company puts the bid out and starts training guys without a better pay rate?
Do you think the union would ask us to do anything? How many do you think would jump on the bandwagon?

Probably not helping any of us talking about that scenario here.
