guys are ****ed... calling block reps.. and if you aren't you should be. I've talked to 50 or so guys and no one can believe we've given the company this kind of signal... you don't think they are loving this?

this stinks to high hell. Fred was the right guy at the right time for this job. I didn't know him well before he was selected as the NC Chair.. I looked into his resume when his name came up. He's been active in the union, done a good job and comes well recommended from friends of mine who know him and I trust their judgment.

DW elected to remove him. He needs to answer why. He's over qualified? working too hard? too devoted to the crew force? knows what he's doing? has a negotiating history for the company? knows the opposition negotiators well and has a rapport with them? there's gotta be a better reason than the ones I've come up with...

we need to get him reinstated. Can't get through to any block reps, they're all in Vegas..

Are you suggesting that he might be devoted to the crew force vice DW? That's a hanging offense in the Ivory Tower!

Maybe DW's getting him out of the way of his hand picked successor? Naw, there couldn't be any internal politics getting in the way of what's best for the pilot group, could there?

The bigger problem I have... Is that FE was very qualified and extremely smart, etc.. WHY didn't DW try to talk him out of resigning [It appears he was/is the best man for the job]... Which leads me to believe that yall are right that he was fired by DW! Ever since I was was at one of those Prater 'Takin it in the @ss' road shows and heard DW cronies laughing at the questions (OUR questions), I have had ZERO faith in OUR/THEIR MEC... I thought when Tony C & Albie got on board things would change but now I don't know what it will take to de-rail this train???

One thing that comes to mind is to make sure no one from his administration is in power when he leaves on Jan 20th. I think they have all been drinking the DW koolaide and need to be taken out with him..

that would cure the DW grooming his successor issue you were wondering about iarapilot.

Anyone post anything on the ALPA board about this? Maybe we need an influx of questions over there to get a public discussion going. Just a thought. Albie, you game? Tony C, are you still alive? What happened to you guys?

I quit using that forum a while ago because of the difficulty in navigating around in it. How hard is it to set up a user friendly forum on the ALPA site? More viewership here as well.

moderators are a bit touchy here but you gotta take the good with the bad!
