This isn't surprising at all. They had no allegiance before they left, so why would they now?

Hey pass the crack pipe nothing bad could ever happen here at UPS so let make supid decisions and let guys go ahead of us on the senority list. Guys like you should work for the auto industry with fellas just as stuped.
So if we leave them as managers not on the list and they start to fly 90 hrs a month with no work rules plus working in the office this is better than on the list with work rules, min days off, etc that would reduce the utilization?

You know, Biggs, you may want to tone down the attitude toward your fellow IPA'ers. Calling people "stupid STUPID" doesn't help getting your message across. As I recall, most of the pilots here that have advocated that UPS won't furlough gave concrete reasoning (i.e. SaltyDog, whom I know and respect) , just as you have attempted to give your reasoning. I'm not saying who is right and who is wrong - that is besides the point. But, just because someone has a different point of view doesn't make them stupid. Now, what you are seeing on the line while flying is another thing, but on here, most have been fairly civil.

Well, I'm not sure if I'm the one that you're referring to as stupid, but I couldn't disagree with you more.

If you think bringing the managers onto the seniority list will cause furloughs, I think you should take another look. I would bet that it would cause hiring.

One last thing, I agree that you should watch what you say about your IPA brothers. Rather, you should step up and volunteer for our union to make it better. If you already do, many thanks, and keep up the good work, but don't be so quick with the remarks toward your fellow pilots.

757upspilot, you hit the nail on the head. What the other guy doesn't seem to understand is that these non union pilots are already ahead of him on the seniority list.

Of course many wouldn't be interested. A lot of them were hired post 9/11 and were hired with bare minimum time. They were instantly anointed Capt/checkairman status with a nice fat paychecks to go with that title.

BTW, none of these folks would be anywhere close to holding the left seat if their line seniority was date of hire nor would their egos allow such a downgrade.

We are stupid? Really? No matter what the thread is about - you just have to throw in your doomsday scare tactics don't you? Listen no one needs your 'warnings' anymore - we got it! We know we are doomed and the world is about to fall apart, you've been warning us for ever...
Fortunately for you, you've already protected yourself from furlough with voluntary mil leave as you told us before so I’m not sure why you’re so negative? Oh yeah, you feel obligated to warn the rest of us, “the stupid ones.”
