How to get Ferry Pilot gig?

proskuneho,
Check out this closed thread in "hangar talk", some of the posters appear to have ferry experience. At least internationally, suppose a PM to them would be beneficial for you. 'seoceancrosser' was one of the experienced ferry pilots.
Good luck

Yeah...we fixed THAT problem but new problems developed from a plane that had been inactive for several years.
THe point is.......take a really good look at the plane you're going to be flying, wear a survival suit up to your waist, wear a inflatable lifejacket and be ready for problems.

I forgot to ad the link on my first post. I did a google search to see if Southern Cross Aviation was still around after these 18years since I worked for them.
Welcome to Southern Cross Aviation
Do some searching on Trade a plane and any other aviation sources for ferrying. Its pretty challenging to break into. THey like very experienced pilots for the long overwater flights for obvious reasons. At 1500 hrs. I was pretty green for their pref. but I was available and showed my face regularly.
The biggest mistake I made was not calling them up as soon as I delivered the plane. I assumed the buyer would and didn't have orders to do that. They were a little peezed that I didn't call home directly. Whatever. I went back to my MetroLiner job and on to Continental/Rocky Mountain a year later. A better path to a major cargo carrier.
