Default FDX CIC makeup question

I have a 6 hr carryover from feb that knocked out a 22hr trip in Mar. So I am down to about 50hrs for the Mar month. Would like to make it up at the end of the month. I have vacation the first week of Apr. I forgot to slide my vacation into march. Does anyone know if I can put in for a carryover trip into Apr that will conflict with vacation and get knocked out? Not trying to work extra just trying to get back to my BLG.

Thanks in advance.

Good question... Call futures and ask.. They won't answer the phone but leave a message and they will call you back... Or I should say they have called me back the few times I called looking for info...

Go to your Secondary Line Worksheet, and click on "View Instructions." There, under Essentials of Secondary Line Construction, you can read that "Secondary lines are not constructed to conflict with vacation."

He is asking about CIC not a VTO... But I expect the answer may be the same...

Thanks for the info. It is a regular line. I will call futures tomorrow and will report my findings. I searched around the contract ect but did not find anything in pilot language.

Just talked to futures and no you cannot be awarded trips during CIC makeup that will you cannot actually fly. So if they touch vacation or hit a buffer or training you will not be awarded any of them. Guess it will be a thin pay month!

If you're worried about your MAR BLG...Maybe you should try picking up a trip(s), with your CIC makeup, that doesn't contain carryover at the end of March. Sounds like you're more worried about APR's BLG, to me.

I have other obligations during my days off in the month so I thought it might be an easy way to get the pay. I have plenty of vacation to use in apr so was not worried about burning too much up with doing a small makeup then knocking it out. So later in the year I hope I do not get *****ed at for picking up an open time trip when I am only getting 49hrs of pay for mar.

What I was getting at was...If you pick up a trip in CIC, that has carryover...Only the part in March will count toward your March BLG. The rest will go towards your Apr BLG, and you will still have a low MAR BLG. So, if those are the only March days you have available, you're going to be short either way.

Make sense?
