FDX HKG Tax Question
To any of the current HKG guys, how did the Tax equalization work out this year? Also, was it relatively painless to have the outside firm do your taxes?

When you live abroad, you get an automatic extension until October to file your taxes. So I'd bed most HKG based pilots haven't done their 08 taxes yet.
But I'm curious how Pricewaterhouse works out as well.

Essentially we haven't really started yet. We just had a meeting 2 weeks ago with PwC to clear up some things and yes there will be an extension, not sure anything is automatic though. (Boss,"You didn't bill FedEx, the only corporation on the planet still making money, a gazillion $$$ for those HKG tax extensions?!
Accountant, "Ahh, I thought it was automatic." Boss, "You're outa here!!)
But I digress, it may be next January before they file because of residency and tax year stuff that I hardly understand.
So how's it going? As long as Mr. IRS doesn't call (been there done that) its going peachy.
