"Ad hominem argument is most commonly used to refer specifically to the ad hominem abusive, or argumentum ad personam, which consists of criticizing or attacking the person who proposed the argument (personal attack) in an attempt to discredit the argument. It is also used when an opponent is unable to find fault with an argument, yet for various reasons, the opponent disagrees with it."
Ever hear this term? It is always easier to attack an individual when you cannot refute his well reasoned post with one of your own. You lack the ability to construct and write a logical argument and therefore seek the expedient of attacking an individual. It is very common and says a lot about the attacker and nothing about the person attacked.

Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.
Sir Winston Churchill
British politician (1874 - 1965)
Or they just chuckle quietly to themselves and carry on having seen it all a million times before, and devote their time and energy to more pressing matters.

Its been a long day, flew nine hours and now waiting for a jumpseat home after being on the road for two weeks! I am trying to collect myself and my thoughts and feel as though I need to step back from the keyboard before I say something I might regret! Once I have had a chance to reflect I will address Avg Joe and Jungle! More to come ...

That's the spirit Shaggy, get some rest and take your time. We aren't the enemy. The enemy lies outside the gates of the company and the union. Open up that vista and reflect soundly on why we have arrived at this point.
As a race, we like to think of ourselves in terms of technical advancement, but in many ways we remain in the social order of our forebearers. We are sitting around the fire with the troop fighting for scraps of the gazelle that one of our fellows has managed to bash the brains out of with a stone ax.
Or perhaps we are like serfs working the land of our master just to get enough to live on regardless of our efforts.

Churchill: "Bessie, you're ugly, and tomorrow morning I shall be sober"
Sorry, might not be appropriate for such a serious conversation but you opened the door with the awesome Churchill quote. Thought you all could use a laugh.

There is no such thing as a good tax.
Some see private enterprise as a predatory target to be shot, others as a cow to be milked, but few are those who see it as a sturdy horse pulling the wagon.
The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.
We contend that for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.
An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile—hoping it will eat him last.

Without finding it on a website, one of my favorites, once again some woman he ****ed off:
"Sir, if you were my husband I would surely poison you"
"Madam, if I were your husband I would surely take it."
The guy was brilliant...that much more of a shame Barry is crapping all over his memory based on some generations old, almost gangsta' like grudge. Hope and change, or gang-banger revenge mentality?
