Really? Especially given the job market right now it's hard to imagine anyone allowing themselves to get canned. Even if it's an FAA violation or a scratched airplane there are safety valves like ASRS/ASAP and HIMS. A buddy of mine got a little time off for two UTC's but to get canned seems pretty hard around here.

I think there was an "incident" last week in HNL. Don't know the details. But the talk was the FO was sent home and Kevin O' an ACP sat right seat to SYD the next day.

I know the union has been dealing with this person for a while now, so it is not a shock. There are also other crew members that are in trouble with MIL leave and making up expense reports. Seems as though some guys are not using their heads out there.

Let's just say to get fired from UPS, you have to 1. Lie to them or 2. Steal from them. The people losing their jobs, fall into one of the two.

no, I am here to stay. Back in 2005 I was lucky enough to have to choose between UPS and FDX. Nobody wants to be a slave to their employer, but we are paid way too much and have such a great qol (compared to the industry) to risk the job over a few days pay.
