Quote: Maybe so. But one of the arguments the company is putting forth is they only have so much flying to put on our lines and only so many folks are needed for reserve. The large number of extra trips and big carryover is undeniable proof the lines are lower than they should be.
Well, that may have some bearing on which side wins the grievance, but will be immaterial to any settlement amount. I'm with the posters above. The most you can expect is the difference between your monthly BLG and the CBA minimums of 68/85 CH. That assumes there is even a monetary settlement awarded. They could just tell the company to stop doing what they're doing and go back to 68/85 from here on out.

Don't forget about the 13 hour spread. I haven't checked but that could raise us up above 68/85

How to share a spread sheet?
I have a spread sheet to share.
Type in you BLG for each month since Dec 2008 and your hourly rate to calculate total $$$ short fall and missing B fund amount.

Is there a place to post the .xls file?

Nothing has ever stopped you from doing your own personal 4A2b. That is one of the great things about FDX. However it has always been your choice not Fred's. Big difference.

Quote: Dude! I have had almost 2 extra days at home with the kids and dog per month due to 4.A.2.b. What's the big deal?

- it sure beats going back to the schoolhouse on the panel, or being out on the street like my other brothers.
Let me guess -- You aren't getting a reserve line and you're not on the Bus or 727 or going to either of those places.

What you think you are saying, "Hey, it's not so bad for all of us."

What you really are saying is, "I'm perfectly happy, why can't everyone just enjoy that?"

Quote: Dude! I have had almost 2 extra days at home with the kids and dog per month due to 4.A.2.b. What's the big deal? I get to fish a little more, I got to go to do a couple of more days camping in the forest with the family. It's great to get 18 or 19 days off during a 4-week bid month, especially in the summer. Now that school's back in session, I can be a parent volunteer at the elementary school and really have an impact on my children's education and how they see me as a parent. I also get to put the slap and tickle to the better half - more than I used to, which is less and less nowadays (TMI).

Don't forget it's a job, and you're a number. But you never get time off back. Flame baiting aside - it sure beats going back to the schoolhouse on the panel, or being out on the street like my other brothers.

You just don't get it.

And, who said we don't have unity?

My first thought was, "Stockholm Syndrome?"

But, I actually agree with Cliffy...However, he's leaving out one important point. The company can give us all the days off they want. But, they still must pay us the monthly minimum BLG of 68/85.

You have got to be kidding me. I used to do all of that by dropping a trip or an R day and, listen to this because it is crazy stuff, the company would either PAY ME or the hours would go into my makeup bank so they could PAY ME later (when it was in MY control).

So you are just peachy that the company has taken the money from you and not even had the courtesy of giving you the hours into your makeup bank?

Ladies and Gentlemen....our new MD Flt. Ops (drumroll please!) Cliffy!!!
