A short walk or the hotel has transportation for you. Lots of money being invested in the property. The 2010 Asian Games (Golf) are going to be played here.
The 4 crews here now have decided this is just like Disney Land when the park is closed and all the rides are shut off
... weird and empty

From somebody that has played the course. Green fees weekdays $100+ and twice as much weekends, but that includes cart. Don't know if we get any discounts on this. The pilot that played the course wasn't staying at the hotel.

They do have free shuttles into town 3 times a day.
When I left Saturday AM there had been no shuttle. When I asked what the shuttle schedule was they replied, "What time do you want to go?" and got me a car. Great service I admit but could be hard to organize an effective launch and recovery for several crews.
Did you actually take a shuttle bus and where does it go?

On second thought...this place will be great during the summer and fall
.
Played golf today...very nice layout! 7200 yds from the tips. Nestled in the mountains, large greens but fast and lots of break (i.e. mountains)...plenty of water to keep you on your toes
.
- Book tee times thru the Hotel. The hotel will drop you off and pick you up
- Bring cash for Caddies (~120 RBM). There are NO ATM's at the hotel or golf course (lesson learned). No walking and must use caddie.
- Check in at front desk of club house and pick-up your "passport."
- Go to the proshop and get started
- Your "passport" is basically a charge card and every thing is charged to it. After the round, time to settle up.
- Food very limited on course
- Plenty of beverages
- 200-350 RMB for rental clubs (bring your own if you can, would have made it even better)
- ~800-1300 RMB for green fees (Weekday, Weekend)
Had a blast! Never realized I was still in Guangzhou on Standby
