No early retirement incentive at UPS

All I know is that a buddy of mine who is furloughed says there are NO (as in zip, zilch, nada!) jobs out there. Now I don't know if he's looked at corporate or not.
Let's not put the cart ahead of the horse regarding furlough. I know it's scary that it's hanging over our heads but it has not officially happened yet.
In any case guys, hopefully you are not living through your first Christmas without a loved one, because I am and it sucks! I miss my mom so badly....I would take a furlough, paycut, ANYTHING to have her back.
Merry Christmas! (I'm going to put on my best game face for my son and open presents from Santa now)

Maybe not split beyond repair, but certainly divided. Personally, I am holding a grudge against those who are not participating and benefiting from those of us who do. And the old guys, screw em. Why should I go forward like there is no problem with the IPA? At this point we certainly are the "Association of Independent Pilots" and I will admit I am one of them too!

Why? What is the alternative?
70% have contributed more than a 100% mandated amount that may have been voted on by the IPA.
Need to look beyond for a long term strategy and not fall prey to managements dream. This IMO was the very few elements of teh MOU that management was hoping to exploit. It appears you are allowing them to succeed. The ability to divide between those who have and have not. Short sighted and you and me are the only losers, not UPS. They will do what they want regardless. We have challenges, we all agree. Continuing to inject poison of a grudge hurts future contract talks, etc.
Merry Christmas.

I have contributed a great deal to the MOU and it ****es me off to see others who will be negatively affected by the MOU benefiting by our sacrifice then gloat that they are not participating. Just flew with an individual who had this same attitude then turns and waives the contract to help the company out, ****??? How do I unite with these type of guys, they could care less about furloughs?

Last round, many of these folks went on to become supervisors. Sounds like you just flew with one.

No kidding, I really don't get along with management all that well!
