RSA/DSA has now become even more important as a scheduling tool.

This place blows.

Contract enforcement and our grievance office is USELESS. Stockholm Syndrome has set in and our new MEC needs to clean house starting with CB and get some new blood who have some teeth.

I made three reservations today via Trip Manager. All were booked immediately and I had not deviated until just now- 8 hours later.

That's why I emailed my block rep with my displeasure at the turn of events-- so he can help keep an active eye on things.

I booked yesterday morning on the phone with GT and hadn't deviated yet and got the ticket issued.

Agree, the Grv Cmte at the regional I used to work for had more teeth than this one... (Both ALPA). Can't we argue that when the company changes policy at a whim to negatively effect pilots after years of using different interpretations it constitutes self help and can be litigated; that's how we are threatened all the time...

Carefull you may get a good guy or gal at GT fired. Chuck may read this post and make it his job to find out which "slackard" at GT is not conforming to the company's new policy. He can probably track the non conformist down while "maintaining rest" just in case crew scheduling has an emergency.

When I'm fortunate enough to have a double DH week, I tend to make my travel plans as early as possible to get the cheapest tickets. Deviating immediately on the front end. I don't deviate on the backend until the day prior, if the wx's going to suck (ala ORD last month), and I think I might get stuck in the field, then I'll go so far as to plan on taking the scheduled DH back to the planet and can'x my trip straight home.

Thus, if I do get stuck, overage and hotel rooms courtesy of Fred.

we have a winner.

However, comma.....

We "can" argue that (and would/should win based on case law - ie. Delta pilots "work action" when they refused to pick up open time)

But FedEx ALPA "won't" argue it.

Why? Bush League. (or is it Busch League?) either way, you get the point.
