You do make pretty babies.
I agree on all points.

So what kind of super seed are you carrying that insures a baby as a result of every act

There is such a thing as an accidental or even an unwelcome pregnancy. Of course as the (r) senate candidate from NEV says, they should just make lemonade!

The act doesn't always result in a pregnancy , it is preventable. Pregnancy does generally result in a birth with some predicability.

I've been following this thread out of shear morbid curiosity. Like others here, I don't usually agree with Ms. FP. However, I find that those of you who are bashing the maternity leave provision in your contract, are indeed very selfish and are not indicative of what the IPA has stood for. The best attribute, in my opinion, of the UPS pilot group has always been the cohesiveness of your group. That and of course your really cool looking brown uniforms. Through thick and thin you have managed to maintain a genuine caring for your fellow UPS pilots. Until now, or I guess more correctly, until now for a small minority of you. To you few I say, get over it. It's a good thing that your union has recognized that when a female pilot goes out on maternity leave, she should get some support from your union. Besides, it sounds like it's really not that much anyway, and because of that fact alone, it makes you look petty.

Just my opinion, and I really don't want to enter into a discussion about it. Suffice it to say, I believe that this is a reasonable benefit for the female pilots of any airline. Especially the really hot ones.

I can't believe you some of you are saying that you usually don't agree with me! I'm always right!

In all seriousness though, thanks to all of you for the support with the maternity stuff.

I don't think that our contract really speaks to it at all

Just an outsider looking in, but I believe people will get past "this furlough thing" when UPS recalls or they obtain another job in their chosen profession. It is insulting to furloughed pilots for a company to have pilots not on the seniority list keep their jobs instead of being RIFfed in similar proportion. It is further insulting to have said pilots fly increased block and duty to the point of running up against FAR regs. It is additionally insulting for said pilots to tell the recently jobless to "get over it!"

It also shows that some pilots have no class, much less any empathy for their furloughed bretheren.

Like I said, just an objective observation from someone on the outside.

Do everyone a favor and stay on the outside. Less than 100 furloughs in 23 years is very impressive my ill informed child.
