Rumors I heard, were 75 bid was coming, they are trying to get the Flex's who were excessed back into the seat. The training letter is almost done, some 18 on property, 38 purchased so far.

77 bid to be included.

I haven't heard any numbers though, or if an excess is to accompany. I would suspect with all of the FDA canx's, that it would be seperate to keep the training cogs moving.

We all keep hearing the same numbers. I'm hearing just south of 100 in each seat on the 757. Flag ops means 20/1 ratio on the 777. Call it atleast 50 in each seat there. No Europe any time soon. MD in HKG? I'll believe it when I see it. Too soon. Boeing sales rep with our account has been directed to approach every customer with orders for the 777F, inquiring on whether they want to sell their slots to us (this guy told me this directly at a dinner party). We will be the launch customer for the P to F conversion and we are currently birddogging tails and operators for the best planes. KAL, JAL, early front runners. Clue, look for the early customers on the 787.

Here's a hot one: There will be some VP who is to be hired from outside the company to do a top down review on the whole shooting match, who will have trump power over PC and all flight ops, although he/she will have an equivalent title. Call it VP for regulatory compliance and operational operability and oversight. Sounds like Congress. It's probably about time for that. We could use a culture change IMHO. The seriousness of the situation is...serious!

FWIW boys, it is going to be interesting!

WM

P.S.--I might be completely full of $hiiite, but something's brewing.

You are totally full of $hiiite, but that doesn't mean your rumor isn't true!

I heard the VP rumor too, albeit it was neither at a dinner party nor on a crew bus. Something about Safety & Oversight was used in the conversation.

(WM we must know the same sources??)

I'm not holding my breath for an European Domicile this year (or MD-11 HKG for that matter, but it was a rumor from the Crew Bus)!

So, I heard that PC would moved to another VP job and the new guy from outside the company would take his VP job. Juicy.

Don't think the 75 bid will be anytime soon. We are giving two of our aircraft to the company who flyes inter Canada freight. They will get three airframes as they come through mod. The training dept is gearing up to train the canaden pilots. Losing two airframes should bring down BLGs and make posters on this forem happy.
