>>Losing two airframes should bring down BLGs and make posters on this forem happy.<<

Why, exactly, do you think this in particular would make anyone happy?

Don't know about you but I will be happier if they take some hours from a bidpack that is over contract mins and put them in a bidpack that is under contract mins. After all isn't that mostly the point of having contract mins?

But taking them from the 757 and giving them to the Cnucks shouldn't make anyone happy.

The canucks are already doing the flying, it makes no difference what airframe they use.

Since the 727 is overmanned and the 757 is undermanned it is a very good time to make the move for the Fedex pilots as a whole. Would you rather they take 3 more 727s or airbie out of service?

RAC,

The bid info for the 75 is from JM, so I think that rumor is pretty solid. If you look at the FO bid pack, there are a whopping THREE R lines for March! Yeah, they are justifying the new checkouts in the seat will get reserve, but it still looks to me like the plane is undermanned. I seriously doubt the company will let whats left of the Flex guys sit around and only do recurrents and no training, when they have purchased as many planes as they have.

Hub;
I don't doubt your logic,but the flex guys will not be setting, they will be training the morning star pilots. The limit is Sims not instructors.

Does Fedex own Morningstar? Have we trained other pilots before?

Doesn't matter and Yes

We don't want to fly the intra-Canadian flights, because we don't want foreign airlines to have a hub in the US flying between US cities.

They have had 4 of our 727s for sometime. Last I looked, and it has been a few years, the airplanes that flew for Morningstar were, 233,234,235,236. I was in Montreal last month and had one parked at the gate next to us.

From what I have heard, the 727s are being retired as they come up for "D" checks, so maybe the Morningstar 727s are getting close.
