That is what the first set of excess bids were all about. Thats what happens when it goes senior!

??????????
Like I think I said... no one was SENT. You can't be excessed to an FDA.

I agree with you; that nobody was sent. My only point was that the reason for the first set of excess bids was to fill the R seat in HKG, IMO. I think we are in agreement.

Got it! I agree.

Is your avatar the beach at the Blue Rock? It's so tiny it's hard to tell.

No, 20 miles west, and off the coast, at Capones Island. A little cleaner!

is the 2700 monthly allowance in Hong Kong dollars or USD? If it's in USD, thats quite a large amount. Equates to about 21,600HKD. You could get some real NICE stuff for that money. 2700 HKD, don't count on getting anything in Kowloon. At 2700 HKD, DO count on pulling change out of your pocket.

1 - yes, in US dollars.

2- REALLY? I guess you haven't been apartment hunting in HKG lately. My 700 sq/ft, 4-wall, 4th floor walk-up low rise is just under the $2700. Add utilities, cable and ANY additional QOL stuff (like furniture ) and your over. Maybe I missed the smiley face

p.s. If you add a spouse and a couple of kids ... bring $$$

Try the "new towns", like Tung Chung. Very close to the airport and there are some seaview ones for only 9000HKD about (approx 1200 USD) , 700 sq/ft, furniture included (Seaview Crescent). No utilities inlcuded though. But yes, I will agree with you on the fact that adding a family really doesn't allow for 2700 to stretch very far.
Do you live in Kowloon or in Hong Kong Island? Lantau Island seems to be the newest and one of the cheaper ones.

ThreeHolesInHisHead must be joking.

CX pilots now get 9200 USD a month in housing allowance alone. . This is entirely independent of their salary. It's simply what it costs to live in HK in some semblance to a western human being.

Yeah, Fedex pilots should have to live by the airport in TC for 2700.

Riiiiight.......
